During the holiday season do you sometimes hit that creative block?

Do you need that perfect gift or card for someone?

Photobucket

Well we can help! Join www.sassycardsnscraps.com for a 6 week contest to help inspire you to complete those Christmas projects.

Starting November 1, 2008 we will be posting a project a week that you will have to complete by Friday of that week for judging. (each of your enteries must be upload in our gallery and then linked back to the thread.)

The best part of the contest is NO ONE is voted out. Each week our panel of judges will vote on the top three projects for that week and they will receive points according to where they placed. The person at the end of the 6 weeks with the most points will be the winner!

Points are as stated below

1st Place = 3pts

2nd Place = 2 pts

3rd Place = 1 pt

Occasionally there maybe an extra credit point. Those that complete the extra credit challenge will receive 1 pt. In case of a tie the names will be in put into a hat and a winner will be drawn. So put those elf hats on and be ready to take a trip through Santa’s workshop. Remember Christmas is just around the corner.

Cuttlebug Challenge

I am really trying to start to use my Cuttlebug and Cricut more. So I was told about this blog for the Cuttlebug that my friend Jean is a DT on. Check out some of her amazing work here: http://pinkcamo1981.blogspot.com/

So the challenge is Sanding Surprise and is found on http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/
It is to use a Cuttlebug folder and sand it.

Since I am still a novice to this I tried my hand at it with the Swiss Dots folder. I used the Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge on the Cricut for the baby cut. I think I want to switch the title since the image came out a bit smudgy but I am a pleased with the outcome.
