Fold Out Card
I have been doing just plain cards lately so I decided to follow a challenge posted over at Mommysavers in the Scrapbooking section. http://mommysavers.com/boards/challenges/105222-random-card-challenge.html
It comes from a tutorial that I had found on this blog... http://francineclouden.typepad.com/tuesday_todo/2008/11/foldout-christmas-card.html What a gorgeous card she made!
Here is my try at a fold out card:

I used Paper from the DCWV photo Holiday stack, cut my snowflake out from the Cricut "Going Places" cartridge, covered it with Glossy accents and added Stampin Up glitter. The stamp is something I picked up at a garage sale and I am not sure who makes it but love his spikey hair!
***********************
Now go on over to check out what Kim has up for blog candy. Leave a comment for a chance to win. Plus check out all of her amazing projects. This girls has got TALENT!
http://www.craftsbykim.blogspot.com/
Also check out another Kim over here.... http://kraftinkimmieskorner.blogspot.com/2008/12/peace-on-earth-charlotteand-some.html
Her gorgeous Charlotte card brings the holidays back in full effect for me! Let her know what your favorite present has been and be in the drawin for some Blog Candy!

Challenge--Emboss Paper Flowers
I made a card for a challenge on www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com I love the different ways that there are to use my Cuttlebug. So the challenge this week was to take paper flowers and emboss them. I took a pretty pink flower and embossed it with the Swiss Dots folder. The stamp set is from Inkadinkadoo, die cut squares from Funky Squares die cut made with the Cuttlebug, paper from Stampin Up and Cardstock from DCWV. I also used a few stickles on the owl.
Outside: "A wise man once said..."

Inside: "Follow your dreams. Except the one where you are at work in your underwear."
Sorry the inside is blurry. I couldn't get a decent shot.

Weekend Crop
I went to a weekend crop..Sleepless scrapbooking! It was my first for this many days. I have only done one other one that was a day crop. I had so much fun not only chatting and cropping but learning so much from the other ladies there! They were such inspirations to me. And you know what....I didn't take one single picture. I am such a DORK! So anyway, I finished 6 Christmas cards and 9 pages. Not too bad but I know that I could have done more!

Hopefully going gave me some creative energy to focus off of! So stay tuned for more....hopefully it won't be another month again!

Cuttlebug Challenge
I am really trying to start to use my Cuttlebug and Cricut more. So I was told about this blog for the Cuttlebug that my friend Jean is a DT on. Check out some of her amazing work here: http://pinkcamo1981.blogspot.com/
So the challenge is Sanding Surprise and is found on http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/
It is to use a Cuttlebug folder and sand it.
Since I am still a novice to this I tried my hand at it with the Swiss Dots folder. I used the Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge on the Cricut for the baby cut. I think I want to switch the title since the image came out a bit smudgy but I am a pleased with the outcome.

New Scrap Area
I decided to switch my scrap room yet again. I was in the storage "closet" of the basement. It was hard to go in there and work on stuff when the kids where on the other side of the wall playing and getting into trouble. So now I moved it into a corner of the basement opposite of their pay area. This way I can scrap and make sure that my kids stay out of TROUBLE.
Here is what it looked like before:

Now this is what I have done to it.
Table in which I craft:

Shelf that my dad made a long time ago no holds my embellishments, magazines and misc.

I am using an old book shelf and dresser to house albums, paper, stamps and other misc

Of course I would always love to have it organized with matching storage items but that doe snot happen when you are on a tight budget and buy too much stuff! ((rolling eyes))
So here is where I create! I hope you enjoy. I also hope that I can get some of my mojo back. I am getting there.......slowly. :)

Weekend Crop at Sassy Cards N Scraps
I have started some of the challenges over at Sassy Cards N Scraps. http://www.sassycardsnscraps.com/ But like some of you know I just am not fast making things. So they are moving along quite slowly. Here is my first one it is a sketch challenge.
Here is the sketch:

And here is my interpretation:

I used the Cricut for the Title using Makin the Grade Cartridge, some fibers and Berry Bliss paper from Stampin Up!.
This one was a challenge to use the quote "Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you."--Dr. Seuss
So I took the quote and typed it in Word and used Word Art to create it into a oval. Than I decorated a King Size Hershey Bar with paper and embellishments, put the quote on and when I give it to someone I will stamp their name in the oval.

Photo Cube
I have been trying to find things to make out of miscellaneous items in the house. Well a lady on one of the boards that I visit www.sassycardsnscraps.com posted this blog tutorial http://paperjewels.blogspot.com/2008/06/cd-photo-cube-tutorial.htmlon how to make a photo cube out of cd cases. I do not like how my version turned out. But I do think that when I have more time to spend I am going to make some of these for Christmas gifts. They will definately be decorated better!
I did this quick card today. I really like it! It is the shoppingbella stamp and I used Bic Mark it Markers to color it in. Patterned paper is from the DCDW Rockstar stack. Pink Prima from Prima and bling is from me and my Big Ideas.

A Few New Cards
I have really been into card making lately. I have done a few for a crop that I am in and I also volunteered to make 20 Birthday cards for my MOPS group. Then there is the Christmas Card Swap and ATC swap that I still do not know what I am going to make! Decisions, decisions! So here are a few of my more recent ones....
Christmas Card Challenge. Not liking it but still playing around to see what I want to do with Holiday cards this year.

Flower Challenge. Use flowers on your card.

Ribbon Challenge....you guessed it use ribbon.

I sent this one to a friend already and she loved it! I have to say I am quite in love with the Bellas lately!

Altered Recipe Box
I was just in a swap on my http://mommysavers.com/boards/swaps-trades/76410-index-card-swap.html Mommysavers boards. We were to make Index Cards with our names and addresses so that we have easier access to them for sending out RAKs and swap/trades. It think it turned out pretty cute.

I wish that I could get better pictures of these.
Here is a card that I did for a challenge to use a shaped clip, 3 brads and ribbon. Well I had the swirl clip on but did not like it.

Here is another one for that challenge. I don't like this one either....LOL

This page I did for a sketch challenge. I love the colors but feel that it is missing something. I used glitter, chipboard and even letter stickers!

I am going to try and work on some more things today for some challenges and swaps that I am in.
I also am supposed to do a arts and craft booth with my aunt in August and really want to make some card sets and other stuff to sell. Hopefully I can post some soon.
